The red Cross in Congo says the toll of the violence from yesterday has risen to 9 dead and 26 wounded, 5 of whom remain in serius conditions. MISNA sources say that some of the soldoeres involved in the disorders continued to loot shops and apartments until 8.00 am mainly in the districts of Bongozo e Ekunde. Meanwhile, the deputy minister of defense visited the city to witness some of yesterday's destruction and some of the local barracks. The first arrests of soldiers are said to have started, while others have fled taking their weapons with them
