Mazembe piped Malian champions Djoliba AC by a lone goal in Bamako whilst Ismaili recorded a similar win over Sudanese giants Al-Hilal in Omdurman, as the two clubs kept alive their ambitions reaching the mini-league stage. |

TP Mazembe had gone into the match with a 1-0 deficit from the first leg in Kigali a fortnight ago. But striker Tresor Mputu Mabi was on form, scoring both goals for the hosts who played the match in the country's capital Kinshasa. |
