What is RSS? RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way of sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as CongoPlanet.com, including headlines, summaries, links to full stories. How do I access RSS? RSS/News Readers will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download. We recommend the free GreatNews reader. Many aggregators are separate, "stand-alone" programs; other services will let you add RSS feeds to a Web page. Yahoo!, MSN and Google users can easily add our RSS feeds to their My Yahoo!, My MSN and Google's home page by clicking on the buttons provided below. Web pages and Blogs: Another way many people use RSS feeds is by incorporating content into web pages and weblogs. Blogs are web pages comprised of usually short, frequently updated items and web links. CongoPlanet.com encourages webmasters to add our feeds to their sites, provided they clearly indicate CongoPlanet.com as the source. |
