DR Congo champions, DC Motema Pembe, have appointed Santos Mutubile as their new coach.
Mutubile will combine his new role with his current job as coach of the DR Congo's team for home-based players, whom he led to victory at the first ever African Nations Championship (CHAN) in March in the Ivory Coast.
He insists he can combine both jobs as the CHAN team will not be in action until the end of the year.
"I've accepted the offer to coach DC Motema Pembe now because I'm a professional coach," Mutubile explained.
"As the national team (for home-based players) does not have any fixtures, I cannot close my hands. I have to be in action.
"Also coaching DC Motema Pembe who have reached the last round of the national league will help me keep in touch with players that I'll need to select for the home-based national team."
Mutubile, a former DR Congo player, takes over a side that has been struggling to retain their league title and has spent five months without a president.
Before taking over the CHAN squad, Mutubile was the coach of DR Congo giants TP Mazembe.
