The Democratic Republic of Congo is ranked third in Africa and 39th in the world, according to the February World Ranking of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). DR Congo gains four places compared to last month’s ranking.

The Leopards are ranked behind Tunisia and Senegal.

According to FIFA, downgrades of Cameroon, Ghana, Burkina Faso, as well as others on the continent, can be attributed both to their results in recent friendly meetings and loss of other points used in its ranking at the CAF African Cup of Nations last year.

Germany is still ranked first in the world followed by Brazil and Portugal.
