DR Congo have appointed Otis Ngoma as temporary coach of the national side as the search for a permanent successor to Patrice Neveu continues.

Neveu left the job after failing to guide the Leopards to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations or World Cup finals.

Ngoma will be in charge for the forthcoming friendlies against Saudi Arabia and North Korea.

The DRC Football Federation says it has a list of more than 30 coaches who they are considering for the vacancy.

Former DR Congo and Cameroon boss Claude Le Roy is among those on the list.

He is currently the coach of the Oman national side.

Former Ivory Coast and Morocco coach Henri Michel is also being considered.

Other candidates include Santos Mutubile, who led DR Congo to triumph at the inaugural CHAN tournament in 2009, and Diego Garzitto, who is currently coach of the reigning African champions TP Mazembe, who are based in Lubumbashi in the south of DRC.
