Over 2,000 Angolan refugees that are currently in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo Brazaville will be repatriated soon under implementation of Memorandum of Understanding for peace in Cabinda.
The fact was announced by the president of the Cabinda Forum for Dialogue (FCD), António Bento Bembe, at the end of another meeting of the Government-FCD Joint Commission, held for the first time in Luanda.
According to FCD's president, the refugees are based in the Pointe Noire and Lower Congo regions, as a result of the armed conflict that rocked the northern Cabinda province.
The Government-FCD Joint Commission focused its attentions on political issues, since military matters have been solved with the integration of former FLEC soldiers into the Angolan Armed Forces and in the National Police.
